The table
Food access
Fresh produce from South Atlanta growers reaches school cafeterias, neighborhood markets and family tables at community prices. We buy it at the price any buyer pays, so growers stay whole and the food stays close to home.
Historic South Atlanta
South Atlanta Land and Table makes sure fresh food from South Atlanta reaches every household in it, whatever it can pay, and pays for the teaching that comes with it.
The farm
Grows the food. It's a business: buy its produce, or bring a group out to the farm.

What we do
It has a working five-acre farm, families who want fresh food, and kids who want to know where it comes from. We work in three places where those meet.

The land
Paid, hands-on training on the farm for South Atlanta students and residents: growing, harvesting, cooking and selling, and the science and business underneath all of it.
The generations
Elders, parents and kids at the same table, cooking what was grown down the street. Recipes get written down and methods get passed on, from pickling and curing to knowing your salt.
In partnership with South Atlanta Farms
South Atlanta Farms is a working urban farm on five acres in Historic South Atlanta. Land and Table works alongside it, and buys from South Atlanta growers, the farm among them. Visit the farm.
Why salt
Our initials spell SALT, and we took it as a good sign. Every body needs salt. It kept food through the winter long before refrigerators, and "worth your salt" still means doing the job well.
Salt grows in cubes, so our mark is one: a block of red clay with a checked tablecloth on top. Land, table and salt in one shape.

Who holds it
